Dr. Erin Barker

Dr. Erin Barker is a native Mainer who recently moved back to the area from Virginia. She is a second-generation veterinarian and grew up helping at her father’s practice in Auburn, Maine. She attended the University of Maine Orono for undergraduate school, and then went on to receive her DVM from Tufts University in 2011. Dr. Erin is passionate about all aspects of general practice, especially surgery and dentistry. She loves helping to strengthen the bond between pets and their owners through education and medical care. She is certified in acupuncture and enjoys offering this as an additional treatment option for her patients. She has a soft spot for baby animals, and often has a foster puppy or kitten in her care. In her free time, she likes spending time with her family, playing volleyball, enjoying all that the Maine outdoors has to offer, and rooting for New England sports teams (Go Pats!).
